How much is parking at The Mayfair Hotel?
Parking is available at The Mayfair at a cost of $30 for valet parking and $20 for self parking. When you arrive at the hotel, simply park in the loading zone at the hotel entrance and speak to our team about parking availability.


Can I cancel my booking at The Mayfair Hotel for a full refund?
If you booked directly through the hotel on our Best Available Rate you have the flexibility to cancel your reservation up to 48 hours prior to 2pm on the day of arrival. If you booked our Advanced Purchase - non refundable rate, full prepayment is required at the time of booking and cannot be cancelled without forfeiting the entire stay.  If you made your booking through an Online Travel Agent, please contact your booking provider for assistance. 


Does The Mayfair Hotel offer massage services?
The Mayfair offers in room massage services. Advance booking is required. Please contact The Mayfair at info@themayfair.co.nz or call +64 3 595 6336 for more information or to book.


Does the Mayfair hotel have a fitness centre? What are the hours? 
All Mayfair guests have 24/7 access to Total Fitness located just 300 meters from the hotel at 104 Victoria St. Please see reception for access. 


In room fitness equipment is also available to hire, including spin bike and Technogym bench. This can be added at time of booking or by contacting The Mayfair at  info@themayfair.co.nz or +64 3 595 6336. 


What is the check in and check out time for The Mayfair Hotel? 
Check-in is available from 2pm and our standard check-out time is 11am. A guaranteed midday check out can be added for $20 when making a booking or by contacting The Mayfair at  info@themayfair.co.nz or +64 3 595 6336. Late check out requests are subject to availability if not booked in advance. 


Does The Mayfair Hotel have free Wi-Fi?
The Mayfair offers complimentary high speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, including public areas.


Does The Mayfair Hotel have a restaurant on site?  
Majestic at Mayfair is an on site cafe and bar. Majestic at Mayfair is available for a la carte Breakfast and Lunch from 6:30am weekdays and 7am weekends. From late afternoon onwards, Majestic becomes a vibrant cocktail bar, perfect for a relaxing end-of-day drink or to experience our tasting plates from our Executive Chef, Nick Tatom. 24 hour Room Service is also available for in-house guests. Bookings are essential for weekends. 


The Mayfair has partnered with local restaurants on Victoria St, where guests are able to book, dine and chargeback directly to the hotel. Our Partner Restaurants are Giovanni’s, You Hanoi Me and The Goldfinch. Please contact The Mayfair at  info@themayfair.co.nz or +64 3 595 6336 to book.


What is the minimum age for check in?
The Mayfair welcomes children of all ages, so long as they are accompanied by an adult 18 years and over.


Does The Mayfair allow smoking on property or In the rooms? 
In line with New Zealand’s Smoke-free environments act 1990, The Mayfair is a smoke free property,  in all public areas and guest rooms. Smoking in a guest room will incur a minimum cleaning fee of $300 plus additional charges for loss of revenue.

 

Can I bring my pet to The Mayfair Hotel?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at The Mayfair, with the exception of service animals. 


Is luggage storage available? 
The Mayfair offers complimentary secure luggage storage for guests. If you need to check out, or arrive early and have time to spare, simply leave your luggage safely with us.
