ACCOMMODATION CANCELLATION POLICY
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR DIRECT BOOKINGS
Accommodation cancellations must be communicated to us at least 48 hours before your check in. Email info@mayfairluxuryhotels.com or call +64 3 595 6335.
CANCELLATION DUE TO COVID-19
If you have made your booking directly with the hotel and need to cancel your accommodation reservation due to a change in the New Zealand COVID-19 Alert Levels, there is no cancellation fee. If you have made your booking through an Online Travel Agent please contact your booking provider directly for assistance.
NO SHOW CHARGES
These will apply as normal. To avoid a no-show charge, please contact the hotel directly to amend or cancel your booking. In the event of a no show or late cancellation, a charge of one night’s tariff will be applicable. Call us on +64 3 595 6335 for more information.
THIRD-PARTY BOOKINGS / ONLINE TRAVEL AGENTS
For guests who have booked through a travel agent, online booking platform or other third parties, please contact your booking provider directly for assistance.
ADVANCE PURCHASE RATE
The Mayfair Advance Purchase Rate is non-refundable and non-transferable, with full prepayment required at the time of booking. The credit card used for payment must be provided at check in. Name on the credit card provided for payment must match the reservation name.
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
Check-in time is from 2.00pm
Check-out time is 11.00am
Late check out requests are subject to availability on day of departure. Unauthorised check out after 11:00am is subject to a $30 per hour charge, up to 2pm, when a full nights accommodation will be charged.
LUGGAGE STORAGE
Complimentary luggage storage is available at the hotel.
PARKING
Parking is available at The Mayfair at a cost of $39 for valet parking and $25 for self parking. When you arrive at the hotel, simply park in the loading zone at the hotel entrance and speak to our team about parking availability. Please note, parking is first come, first served, and therefore subject to availability.
By parking a vehicle at The Mayfair, you warrants to The Mayfair that: (a) such person is the owner of the vehicle and agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions; or (b) such person is duly authorised by the owner of the vehicle to bind the owner by these terms and conditions.
To the extent permitted by law:
The Mayfair will not be liable for any loss or damage to the vehicle or the vehicle’s accessories or contents whatever the cause of such loss or damage whether by negligence or otherwise of The Mayfair. At all times the vehicle is at the risk of the owner.
NON-SMOKING
In line with New Zealand’s Smoke-free environments act 1990, The Mayfair is a smoke and vape free property in all public areas and guest rooms. Smoking or vaping in a guest room will incur a minimum cleaning fee of $300 plus additional charges for loss of revenue.
CREDIT CARD POLICY
A valid credit card must be used to guarantee a booking and presented on check in. Bookings without a valid credit card may be cancelled without notice to the booker.
When settling your account by credit card a 2.75% credit card surcharge will apply.
RATES AND CHARGES
By making a booking, you agree that any charges for services to you, not billed at the time of your departure, may be added to your account for settlement as arrange or may be charged to the same credit card used to pay the account at the time of departure or to the credit card used to guarantee payment of your account.
You agree that you are personably liable for the room rate for each day of your stay and any additional charges up until the time you advice the hotel of your departure. This includes any additional cleaning fees, or charges placed on your account due to damage or theft of property and/or the resulting loss of revenue. You are responsible for any guests who are either staying in your room or have been invited to visit.
